Quadrise Fuels International PLC (AIM:QFI) appointed Andy Morrison as a non-executive chairman with immediate effect.
Morrison brings almost 40 years of experience in major multi-national corporations and junior public companies to the supplier of MSAR and bioMSAR emulsion technology and fuels.
He started his career at Royal Dutch Shell, where he spent 17 years in its oil products, lubricants and speciality chemicals divisions, holding several vice-president positions across departments including sales, marketing and trading and strategy, and across several continents.
“Andy has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a strategic and entrepreneurial approach throughout his career and has a track record of commercial delivery. Andy joins Quadrise at the start of an exciting year ahead for the company as we progress our projects towards commercialisation," said Philip Snaith, chairman of the nominations committee.
After leaving Shell, Morrison held senior positions at BG Group plc (LSE:BG.) and BOC Group PLC in corporate strategy and new business development.
Since 2007, he managed several junior listed companies in both the energy and environmental, social and governance sectors, where he has significant experience covering restructuring, turnarounds, new listings and acquisitions.
Some of his directorships include chief executive officer of Xtract Energy PLC and Silvermere Energy PLC, non-executive director of Kanabo Group PLC (LSE:KNB) and chairman of Spinnaker Acquisitions, which has recently listed on the London Stock Exchange.
