Canada Silver Cobalt Works reveals 2022 plans at its portfolio of mineral properties in Ontario and Quebec

The firm is planning to drill up to 60,000 metres at its flagship Castle East property in Gowganda, Ontario, in preparation for an updated resource estimate to be released in the first quarter of 2022

Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. (TSX-V:CCW) has outlined its goals for the rest of 2022 as the junior resource company extolled an “energetic” 2021.

“What an energetic year for Canada Silver Cobalt Works… not only have we been opening up new structures and finding high-grade silver in Gowganda, but we’ve also been successful at Graal with multiple massive sulphide intersections,” COO Matthew Halliday said in a statement.

The firm is planning to drill up to 60,000 metres at its flagship Castle East property in Gowganda, Ontario, in preparation for an updated resource estimate to be released in the first quarter of 2022.

Other initiatives include a planned drill program at the Eby-Otto property in Kirkland Lake and at Graal-Lac St-Jean in Quebec, as well as geophysics at its Henry Lake property in Sudbury.

As for its proprietary Re2OX technology process, Canada Silver said it is hoping to install a gravity pilot plant in Cobalt, Ontario and hopes to test high-grade stamp mill tailings from the Beaver Mine and the Castle Mine once the commissioning of the gravity pilot plant is complete.

“We’ve had quite a year for Re2Ox and are taking the emerging battery markets very seriously; the ability to produce electric vehicle (EV) quality materials from the Cobalt camp is the heart of the process,” Halliday told investors.

The Re2Ox process is the only known hydrometallurgical process purposely designed and adaptable to recover and recycle metals from lithium-ion, nickel-hydride and nickel-cadmium batteries.

“The fact that we can now extract rubidium for the sodium-ion battery market illustrates how industrious we are and that we are planning for a broad EV future,” Halliday added. “It was an incredibly ambitious year at Canada Silver Cobalt Works, and we plan to keep the momentum going in 2022.”
