PVW Resources NL (ASX:PVW)’s exploration of the Tanami Gold and REE project in Western Australia during the December quarter continued to highlight the significant heavy rare elements outcropping over the 18-kilometre corridor.
At the end of the quarter, the company announced rock chip sampling assay results including:
- 8.77% total rare earth oxides (TREO) including 6,221 ppm dysprosium.
- 5.87% TREO including 3,214ppm dysprosium and 10,836ppm neodymium.
- 5.67% TREO including 4,407ppm dysprosium.
- 5.35% TREO including 2,686ppm dysprosium and 8,643ppm neodymium.
The results also highlighted gold anomalism in the 18-kilometre corridor with results including 3.13 g/t and 1.33 g/t gold confirming the gold mineralisation from the previous sampling program.
A mineralogy study undertaken by Diamantina Laboratories confirmed heavy rare earths are contained in xenotime mineralisation.
IMO has been selected to undertake the metallurgical sighter test work on the Tanami Project.
The company has collected five metallurgical samples each 20 kilograms, one from Watts Rise and another four across Killi Killi East 1 and 2.
Kalgoorlie Gold Project
PVW has a 150 square kilometre tenement package within close proximity to many operating gold processing plants in the heartland of gold in Western Australia.
During the quarter the company announced results including:
- Auger geochemistry results have extended the King of The West gold anomaly 2 km south, now 4km x 1.5km of +40ppb gold.
- +50ppb gold zone of 1.2km width over +2km of strike to extend the peak of the anomaly a further 2kmto the south.
- All extension lines resulted in wide zones of consistent +50ppb gold.
- The 4km x 1.5km +40ppb gold anomaly is still open to the southeast with multiple +50ppb samples returned on the southernmost extension line.
Leonora Region – 195 square kilometres
The company owns 100% of the Jungle Well and the Brilliant Well projects both with immediate follow up targets.
Jungle Well has a 26,800 ounces gold inferred resource where the open pit was mined previously in 1996 during a low gold price.
Drilling plans to explore the extension of the existing resource and along strike following up an intersection of 13.2 metres at 1.74 g/t which was drilled exploring for nickel.
