Alto Metals confirms continuity of Lord’s Corridor mineralisation at Havilah Camp in Sandstone Gold Project

“The geological setting and numerous shallow, high-grade gold intersections over a 1,500-metre strike is very encouraging and an updated mineral resource estimate for Havilah Camp will form part of the project-wide mineral resource update,

Alto Metals Ltd (ASX:AME) has intercepted shallow, high-grade gold from Havilah and Lord Henry prospects along Lord’s Corridor at the Sandstone Gold Project in Western Australia, confirming continuity of mineralisation 1-kilometre to the west along strike of the main mineralised corridor.

Mineralisation remains open down plunge and the Havilah Camp prospect has now been defined over 1.5 kilometres, hosted within a dolerite unit bound by ultramafic rock of a similar style and nature to mineralisation found at Vanguard.

Assays of note from reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Havilah include:

  • 3 metres at 1.4 g/t gold from 51 metres and 13 metres at 2.5 g/t from 104 metres, including 1-metre at 21.9 g/t from 114 metres in hole SRC 551;
  • 7 metres at 2.0 g/t from 15 metres, including 1-metre at 8.5 g/t from 19 metres and 18 metres at 1.7 g/t from 99 metres, including 2 metres at 8.1 g/t from 101 metres in SRC550;
  • 6 metres at 2.1 g/t from 27 metres, including 1-metre at 9.4 g/t from 30 metres in SRC546; and
  • 6 metres at 1.7 g/t from 74 metres, including 1-metre at 7.0 g/t from 79 metres in SCR547.

“Strong start to 2022 programs”

“These latest results from Havilah, located less than one kilometre west of the Lords Corridor, confirm the continuity of high-grade mineralisation outside the current resource and remains open down plunge,” Alto Metals managing director Matthew Bowles said.

“Mineralisation at Havilah is hosted within a dolerite unit bounded by mafic and ultramafic rocks, similar to the host rocks at Vanguard.

“The geological setting and numerous shallow, high-grade gold intersections over a 1,500-metre strike is very encouraging and an updated mineral resource estimate for Havilah Camp will form part of the project-wide mineral resource update, on track to be released this quarter.

“We have made a strong start to our 2022 exploration programs, with an IP survey already underway at Vanguard and a gravity survey over the Lords Corridor and Havilah, starting soon.

“RC drilling is planned to commence in the next few weeks, initially at the Lords Corridor, and we are looking forward to following up on the excellent results delivered from last years’ program with the intent of driving further resource growth and making more discoveries.

“In the meantime, shareholders can look forward to assay results in the coming weeks from 22 RC holes from step out drilling at Indomitable, that are still pending.”

Alto says the latest one-metre assay results, sourced from previously reported four-metre composites from RC drilling at Lord Henry continue to highlight high-grade gold mineralisation:

  • 5 metres at 9.1 g/t gold from surface including 1-metre at 43.9 g/t from surface, 3 metres at 16.6 g/t from 13 metres including 1-metre at 39.0 g/t from 14 metres and 16 metres at 5.3 g/t from 50 metres including 2 metres at 37.9 g/t from 59 metres in hole SRC398;
  • 28 metres at 2.1 g/t from 9 metres including 1-metre at 12.1 g/t from 14 metres and 1-metre at 16.6 g/t from 35 metres and 4 metres at 3.4 g/t from 42 metres, including 1-metre at 11.3 g/t from 43 metres in SRC399;
  • 20 metres at 1.4 g/t from 40 metres including 1-metre at 13.2 g/t from 50 metres and 3 metres at 3.6 g/t from 81 metres including 1-metre at 8.2 g/t from 82 metres in SRC387;
  • 4 metres at 5.8 g/t from 89 metres, including 1-metre at 21.6 g/t from 89 metres in SRC389;
  • 8 metres at 1.6 g/t from 64 metres, including 1-metre at 10.5 g/t from 69 metres in SRC386; and
  • 36 metres at 1.0 g/t from 85 metres and 4 metres at 2.0 g/t from 116 metres in SRC383.

Exploration activity update

  • Assays still pending for 22 RC holes from step-out drilling at Indomitable;
  • Induced polarisation (IP) survey over an initial 3 kilometres of the Vanguard trend is underway and a gravity survey over the Lords Corridor is commencing shortly;
  • RC drilling is scheduled to recommence in February initially targeting depth and strike extensions of known mineralisation along the contact at the Lords granodiorite, including the recently discovered Juno Lode;
  • The current JORC 2012 mineral resource estimate at Sandstone Gold Project is 6.2 million tonnes at 1.7 g/t gold for 331,000 ounces. These resources are shallow, defined to a depth of less than 200 metres and remain open;
  • Work on the updated independent mineral resource estimate is progressing well and is on track for release by the end of the March quarter 2022; and
  • Alto’s Sandstone Gold Project (100%) covers more than 900 square kilometres comprising the majority of the Sandstone Greenstone Belt.
