ImagineAR Inc has revealed a new two-year agreement with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC of the United Soccer League.
It is the Vancouver-based augmented reality firm’s first agreement with a professional US soccer team.
ImagineAR’s platform enables sports teams, businesses and enterprises to create their own augmented reality (AR) mobile campaigns.

The deal with the Riverhounds soccer club is structured as a revenue-sharing partnership for all AR activations and sponsorships, ImagineAR said in a statement.
Vic Gregovits, President of Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, told investors that the group is excited to bring Augmented Reality to the Riverhounds: “ImagineAR will help us deliver content and enhance the experience for Riverhounds fans.”
Gregovits previously worked with Imagine AR in minor league baseball, where the two were successful in keeping fans engaged during the pandemic.
“We are excited to be the first USL client for ImagineAR and plan to bring our soccer fans into the metaverse this season.”
"ImagineAR is thrilled to secure our first United States Soccer Team and work with Vic again," added Alen Paul Silverrstieen, CEO of ImagineAR, "Neal Bendesky of ImagineAR will be working closely with the team to develop new sponsorship activations and interactive fan engagements."
The Riverhounds are planning to launch the partnership during 2022 season starting in March.
