Crossword Cybersecurity PLC (AIM:CCS) said its online software assurance platform, Rizikon, will be freely available to British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) members.
The tech commercialisation company will offer Rizikon so members can self-assess their cyber security alignment with the UK government's Cyber Essentials scheme.
Rizikon helps customers self-assess their cyber security by issuing a high-level overview and ‘scorecard’, highlighting areas of weakness, the cyber security and risk management specialists said.
"Through the self-assessment, Rizikon will help them identify where to invest resources to reduce risks and build resilient supply chains and work towards becoming Cyber Essentials certified," Sean Arrowsmith, sales director, said.
Crossword will offer a one-hour consultation with a specialist to discuss the report in further detail to the first 10 BESA members that complete the assessment.
Additionally, Crossword will offer a limited “free” use of the Rizikon Assurance platform to BESA members interested in utilising the platform to assess their supply chain risks in a range of areas.
Rizikon is a secure, encrypted portal that puts an organisation in control of managing risks in its supply chain and the financial, regulatory, and reputational risks they indirectly carry, the company said.
Customers can upgrade and create their own questions and scoring approaches.
The government's Cyber Essentials scheme protects organisations against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks, The National Cyber Security Centre said.
Rizikon Pro also contains questionnaires on cybersecurity, GDPR, supplier onboarding, modern slavery, and anti-bribery and corruption.
