Instem revenues surge ahead as acquisitions integrate well

Revenue was particularly strong in North America and China, Instem said

Instem PLC (AIM:INS), the healthcare software group, said revenues jumped 64% in 2021 as new acquisitions The Edge, D-Wise and PDSD Pathology added to a solid organic performance.

Like-for-like revenue growth was 6.4%, helped by increased cross-selling with the newly acquired businesses and further new client wins.

Sales were particularly strong in North America and China, Instem said, where successful early-phase R&D had delivered a healthy pipeline of drug candidates.

Revenues for the year totalled £46.1mln (£28.2mln), with £16.1mln generated by the new acquisitions.

Phil Reason, chief executive, added: "We exit the period stronger than ever, with increased scale and strong relationships across all our target client segments.

“These will allow us to continue to grow, as we deliver ever-greater impacts, helping reduce cost and improve timelines within our clients' life sciences discovery and development activities."

Instem closed the year with a cash balance of £15.1mln.
