Mosman Oil and Gas reports production growth continuing in 2022

Production growth in the second half did not include more recent increases in production at Falcon and the Winters-2 well that was drilled in November and was re-completed recently

Mosman Oil and Gas Ltd (AIM:MSMN) said attributable net production increased 43% in the second six months of 2021 compared to the first, and that production has grown in early 2022.

The oil exploration, development and production company, which will move to quarterly reporting from now onwards, reported 17,344 a net barrels of oil equivalent (boe) for the six months to end-December attributable to itself, an increase on the 12,143 boe in the six months to June.

Chairman John W Barr said: "Mosman is pleased to report an uplift in production from the previous half year which reflects a daily production rate of 95 boepd for the six months to 31 December 2021.

"Importantly, since 31 December we are seeing growth in production which has been achieved with the recompletion at Falcon, the drilling and start of production at Stanley-5 and the workover of -D&H-11.

"We anticipate further increases from workovers at Stanley, Stanley-4 returning to production and Winters-2 starting production once gas infrastructure is completed."

Progress in the second half reflects the uplift in production from growth of existing projects, the acquisition of Nadsoilco and an increased interest in Falcon, Mosman said.

Recent increases in production at Falcon which occurred after the end of December, and the Winters-2 well that was drilled in November and was recently recompleted and flowed gas, were not reflected in the second half increase, while only minor production from Stanley-5 was included.
