New Pacific Metals (TSX:NUAG, NYSE:NEWP) Inc said its board of directors has appointed Dr Rui Feng as the company's chief executive officer (CEO).
Dr Feng is the founder of the company and served as its CEO until April 27, 2020. He has stepped down as the chairman of the New Pacific board and Terry Salman has been appointed as the chairman in his place.
Dr Feng's return comes after New Pacific's board accepted the resignation of Dr Mark Cruise as the company's CEO and as a director. The company said it wished Dr Cruise well in his future endeavours.

New Pacific is a Canadian exploration and development company with precious metal projects, including the flagship Silver Sand Project, the Silverstrike Project and the Carangas Project, all of which are located in Bolivia.
The company is focused on progressing the development of the Silver Sand Project, while growing its Mineral Resources through the exploration and acquisition of properties in the Americas.
