tinyBuild says second half ‘ahead of expectations’

It comes as the flagship Hello Neighbor game franchise crossed the threshold for 100mln downloads.

tinyBuild Inc told investors it expects to report a performance ahead of expectations for the second half of 2021 when it releases full-year results in late March.

The video games developer highlighted that the contributions from acquired assets was also ahead of expectations.

The company said it anticipates strong growth, building on last year’s record results, whilst earnings (EBITDA) is seen ahead of expectations.

Significantly, the company said that despite expectations that easing Covid restrictions may negatively impact video game sales, it performed strongly in the second half. Sales trends were positive for both new and back catalogue games, the company added.

The Hello Neighbor game franchise crossed the threshold for 100mln downloads.

Looking ahead, it pointed to very encouraging early indicators of positive consumer traction across the company's pipeline, including Hello Neighbor 2.

Chief executive Alex Nichiporchik said the company’s goal has been to grow sustainably, with a diversified business model and long-term strategy.

“The strength of 2021 shows the benefits of this approach: organic growth, strategic acquisitions, strong profitability. These are important building blocks as we move into 2022 with a record-setting year behind us,” Nichiporchik added.
