Benchmark Metals Inc has revealed new drill results from its Dukes Ridge deposit that extends mineralization from surface to 220 metres depth.
Highlights from 27 drill hole results include 49.10 metres (m) core length of 1.86 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 39.96 g/t silver or 2.36 g/t gold equivalent (AuEq), with 3.84 m of 12.50 g/t gold and 240.16 g/t silver or 15.50 g/t AuEq.
The company also extended mineralization beyond the 2021 modelled pit shell including 64.48 m core length of 0.70 g/t gold and 29.02 g/t silver or 1.06 g/t AuEq with 3 m of 4.88 g/t gold and 270.79 g/t silver or 8.26 g/t AuEq.

Benchmark told shareholders that the new results could “positively impact” its upcoming mineral resource estimate on Dukes Ridge, which is expected in the first half of 2022.
A 2021 resource estimate established 109,000 ounces AuEq at 1.29 g/t AuEq indicated. The deposit is part of a global resource estimate from three closely-located deposits that showcased 2.1 million ounces of 1.62 g/t AuEq indicated and 821,000 ounces of 1.57 g/t AuEq inferred.
Dukes Ridge is part of Benchmark’s flagship Lawyers gold-silver project in British Columbia.
"The Dukes Ridge area is providing significant expansion potential from the recent drill program,” Benchmark CEO John Williamson said in a statement.
“The area remains open in all directions with infill drilling replacing gaps in the mineral resource at surface with higher-grade gold and silver material. January 2022 drilling has started at Dukes with two drill rigs focused on proving-up more mineralization at surface and expending gold-silver areas beyond 220 metres vertical depth," he added.
