XPhyto Therapeutics Corp. (CSE:XPHY, OTCQB:XPHYF) has told investors that its successful integration of 3a-diagnostics GmbH (3a), an acquisition, which closed in December last year, is already bearing fruit.
3a is a highly specialized German diagnostics company focused on innovative point-of-care test systems, including the COVID-ID lab - a rapid and flexible 20 minute-RT-PCR test.
3a has joined forces with the firm's German Vektor Pharma TF GmbH science company and the group is now working on sales activities inside and outside Germany, particularly Eastern Europe. COVID-ID lab can be distributed in all countries that accept an EU CE mark.
"We are now realizing significant synergies in research and development, commercialization, marketing and sales, as well as significantly improved margins for commercial products, particularly Covid-ID Lab," said Professor Dr Thomas Beckert, managing director of XPhyto in a statement.

"Vektor's qualified personnel has now assumed training, customer support, and product distribution activities from 3a, which permits 3a to focus on the development of new diagnostic products. Our next step in management optimization is the implementation of project management excellence across all product development programs, from research and development to sales and distribution," he added.
As part of the integration, XPhyto noted that it has added "several key human resources to drive development, commercialization and sales".
These are, namely, Roland Spleiss, director of Business Development, Dr. Heinrich Jehle, head of Diagnostic Research, and Drahoslav Zdarek, head of sales, Europe.
3a has a pipeline of proprietary oral biosensors for the real-time detection of bacterial and viral infectious diseases, including coronavirus (COVID-19), H1N1, and H5N1.
