Alligator Energy makes headway with strong drilling progress at Samphire and a new COO

The company's sonic core drilling is nearing completion at Samphire, with assays anticipated in the next two weeks and a rotary drilling program targeted for late February 2022.

Alligator Energy Ltd (ASX:AGE) has made strong progress from its sonic core drilling program, with the final hole underway amid "excellent" core recovery at its Samphire Uranium Project, near Whyalla in South Australia.

Notably, the company has also strengthened its corporate skillset, appointing Dr Andrea Marsland-Smith as chief operating officer.

Further, Alligator has secured the services of Daishat Geodetic Surveyors to undertake a ground gravity survey on its Nabarlek North project post the wet season this year.

Drilling progress

At present, geological logging and core splitting for sampling and assay continues at Samphire.

Final assays for the first hole are anticipated in the next two weeks.

Looking ahead, Alligator has secured the services of a PFN logging contractor for the upcoming rotary drilling program, targeted for late February 2022.

New COO

Dr Andrea Marsland-Smith is joining Alligator as chief operating officer, where she'll be responsible for accountability and oversight of the Samphire Uranium Project and its broader exploration.

Alligator said Dr Marsland-Smith’s wealth of experience in discovering and advancing uranium resources, her geological, technical and operational management of ISR projects and her wide uranium industry and engagement experience will be of paramount value to the company.

The new COO will commence in her role on February 1, 2022.
