DeepVerge PLC (AIM:DVRG) said its soon-to-launch Modern Water Mobile Service will go live with the ability to detect the Alpha, Delta and Omicron variants of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The update follows an analysis of MicrotoxPD chips coated with Optimer binding agents developed and provided by partner Aptamer Group.
Scientists at DeepVerge’s York laboratory successfully populated the binding agents on the chips using an anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody.
"The extended scientific community will now have the ability to monitor the virus in real-time and require testing for new variants of concern," chief executive Gerard Brandon said.
