MedX Health Corp, a leader in teledermatology, has revealed that its flagship DermSecure Screening Platform services are being offered in Empower's The Medi-Collective (TMC) locations across Ontario, Canada.

The Mississauga, Ontario-based medical device and software company, which is focused on skin health, said that demand for Dermsecure continues to grow.

TMC is establishing itself as a medical service provider in Canada's most populous province. In addition to its extensive roster of existing patients, it plans to offer MedX's screening service to walk-in patients shortly.
MedX's strategic model to date has focused on multiple market verticals, such as pharmacy networks, medical clinic and building hubs, medical scanning clinics, mobile and remote medical practices, esthetics and skincare clinics.
The partnership with TMC is the first launch of the MedX DermSecure Screening Platform within Canada's primary physician clinic network, said the company.
MedX's physician-based model allows family practices with thousands of patients to enhance their healthcare offerings. Providing skin cancer screenings quickly and efficiently addresses patients' concerns over the current long wait times. Family practitioners have enthusiastically welcomed the MedX telemedicine platform, said the company.
In addition, the service is non-invasive, secure, quick, and easy to use in doctor’s offices and doesn’t require specialized staff to perform scans.

In addition, the company’s secure, cloud-based DermSecure patient management system transmits and stores patient data throughout the assessment process to provide a complete end-to-end solution for dermatologists.
The new Medi-Collective locations offering MedX Health DermSecure Screening Services are:
- London, Ontario: The 94 Fanshawe Park Road East, London location has 5 family physicians on staff. The inhouse pharmacy for walk-in patients to be serviced shortly
- Kitchener, Ontario: The 537 Frederick Street, Kitchener location has three family physicians on staff
- Etobicoke, Ontario: The 440 Brown's Line, Etobicoke location has six family physicians on staff. In addition, the 3590 Lake Shore Boulevard, Etobicoke location is opening in mid-February with two family physicians on staff
