Kromek confident of second half upturn as supply disruptions ease

Meeting expectations would represent "our highest ever full-year revenue with growth in both segments".

Kromek said it expects to report a significant increase in revenues in the second half of the year as supply chain disruptions ease.

Revenue in the half-year to 31 October edged up to £4.7mln (2021: £4.6mln), with underlying and pre-tax losses reduced to £0.6mln (£0.9mln) and £3.1mln (£3.4mln) respectively.

“While our growth and margin during the period were impacted by challenges related to the supply chain for components, this is being recovered in the second half and we remain on track to deliver a significant increase in revenue for full-year 2022, in line with market expectations, with visibility of over 90% of full-year forecasts," said Arnab Basu, chief executive.

The group had continued to win new and repeat orders in both advanced imaging and CBRN detection segments and meeting expectations would represent "our highest ever full-year revenue with growth in both segments".

Basu added that Kromek’s differentiating technology in early medical diagnosis and additional government vigilance to the threat of terrorism would both be long-term drivers of growth for the group.
