Lithium Australia NL (ASX:LIT, OTC:LMMFF) partner Charger Metals NL has completed geochemistry and aeromagnetic surveys which – combined with drilling information from Core Lithium Ltd (ASX:CXO)’s tenements 600 metres along strike – suggest multiple swarms of lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites extending from the adjacent CXO Finniss Project into Bynoe Lithium Project.
Geochemistry results have highlighted two large zones prospective for LCT pegmatites, with significant strike lengths of 8 kilometres for Megabucks and 3.5 kilometres at 7-Up.
Drill-ready lithium targets have already been identified within pegmatite zones at Megabucks, Jenna’s, Enterprise 1 and 2, Riverside and 7-Up prospects.
Advancing toward maiden drill program
“Charger’s 2021 geochemistry program has very successfully outlined two large pegmatite emplacement zones which extend for up to 8 kilometres, centred on the Megabucks and the 7-Up prospects respectively,” Charger Metals managing director David Crook said.
“The interpretation of all geochemistry results suggests a large lithium-mineralised system and provides Charger with an exploration roadmap, enabling prioritisation of the most significant drill-ready targets while identifying areas that need further infill soil sampling and mapping.
“The company is advancing planning and permitting towards its maiden drilling program at Bynoe, aimed to commence at the cessation of the Northern Territory wet season.”
Charger has combined its recent aeromagnetic survey imagery with data released to the market from Core Lithium’s drilling, revealing that high grade spodumene mineralisation intersected by CXO is just 3 kilometres northeast along trend from the 7-Up prospect.
CXO’s drilling also intersected lithium fertile LCT pegmatites at its Centurion prospect just 600 metres southwest along trend from the Enterprise 1 prospect.
