Stuhini Exploration Ltd (TSX-V:STU) said it has identified native gold with copper, silver and tungsten at its Ruby Creek project in British Columbia.
The native gold finding came from two historic condemnation drill holes and was confirmed through Stuhini’s own sampling, the company added.
The condemnation drill holes are two kilometres east of the main molybdenum resource area and include 73.2 metres at 0.21 grams per ton (g/t) gold and 0.28 g/t silver, and 76.2 metres at 0.15 g/t gold, 0.42 g/t silver, including 21.35 metres at 0.21 g/t gold, and 0.11 g/t silver.

Meanwhile, Stuhini said it has defined a one-kilometre-long gold trend extending from the historical Adanac molybdenum resource southwest along Thor Ridge, which hosts numerous veins including the Black Diamond and Emil veins.
Surface sampling along the trend confirmed the presence of gold, copper, silver, and tungsten mineralization, Stuhini told shareholders.
"The identification of free gold in sheeted veinlets from the historic Adanac molybdenum condemnation drill core is great news as it supports our speculation of a potential intrusion-related gold bearing system in the area and another possible source for the incredible placer gold endowment of Ruby Creek and the Atlin camp,” Stuhini CEO David O’Brien said in a statement.
Ruby Creek is a 28,600-hectare area located 14 kilometres east of the town of Atlin. The property hosts 48 different documented mineral occurrences and the historic Ruby Creek molybdenum resource, which has an intact BC Mines Act permit.
Stuhini has an option to acquire 100% of Ruby Creek subject to a 1% Net Smelter Royalty.
