Viscount Mining Corp (TSX-V:VML, OTCQB:VLMGF) said that it has expanded the size of the Kate Silver Resource (KSR) in “multiple directions” thanks to recent drilling at its Silver Cliff project in Colorado.
Drill results returned 88.8 grams per ton (g/t) silver over 16.2 metes, including 162 g/t silver over 8.5 meters. The hole lies around 120 meters outside of the previous mineralized body definition, Viscount said.
The company drilled five of the nine holes northeast of the previous KSR deposit, covering an area of over 12,500 square meters. Drilling also revealed a slight expansion to the south, the company added.

"Not only will these results help expand the silver resource nearly 200 meters to the northeast, they also have great implications for inexpensive open-pit mining with most of the mineralization being immediately below the surface,” Silver Cliff’s exploration manager Jacob Hooker said in a statement.
Viscount told investors it plans to zero in on developing zones of high-grade silver deposition throughout KSR and continue to test the boundaries of the deposit.
The work will be included in a forthcoming resource estimate which is expected in 2Q.
Vancouver-based Viscount Mining is a project generator and an exploration company with a portfolio of silver and gold properties in the Western United States, including Silver Cliff in Colorado and Cherry Creek in Nevada.
