Healixa (OTC:EMOR) Inc, which is focused on building disruptive technologies in the health-tech, clean water, and green-tech industries, has announced that Christopher Galliano will join its board as a non-executive independent director to bolster the technology company’s corporate governance mandate in line with national listing requirements.
The company noted that Galliano has experience in directing large defense-related projects, including rapid prototyping for software engineering and modernization. A co-founder of Skymount Medical, Galliano currently serves as the company’s chief technology officer. He has co-authored over six patents in artificial intelligence-based drug discovery and leads the research activities at Skymount.
Galliano previously architected NATO’s IT modernization, its largest infotech acquisition and the Department of the Navy Enterprise Data Center and subsequent consolidation from over 100 data centers to three enterprise data centers. As a former executive officer of Space and Naval Warfare Systems, Galliano led the program modernization and research efforts of over 40 US Navy programs.

In addition, Galliano published the first Rapid Zero Day Detection strategy for the Navy and is an author and patent holder of one of the first active learning cyber patents awarded in 2017.
“The appointment of Christopher Galliano as an independent director marks a major milestone for the company,” Healixa (OTC:EMOR) CEO Ian Parker said in a statement. “Galliano brings a vast pool of strategic guidance from many different industries and professional backgrounds, which will lend itself to the company’s growth strategy of building and acquiring innovative and disruptive technologies.”
Parker noted that the appointment of non-executive independent directors means that Healixa is "one step closer to meeting the listing requirements" for uplisting to a national securities exchange such as the tech-heavy Nasdaq.
"I am thrilled to accept a position on the board at Healixa,” said Galliano. “Identifying, acquiring, and building disruptive technologies is at the heart of Healixa's growth strategy, and I am confident that my unique experience and skillset will lend itself towards Healixa’s existing technology portfolio and beyond.”
Meanwhile, John Lee, who is the outgoing board member said he was “thrilled” to have been able to serve Healixa as a director during an “exciting period.” He will continue to serve as the finance chief for Healixa.
New York City-based Healixa embraces innovation by combining its intellectual properties, patents, and partnerships to create a launchpad of disruptive sustainable products.
