IQGeo Group PLC (AIM:IQG) said it has won a major contract extension for its mobile capabilities with one of its existing large telecoms customers, to support field construction activities.
The developer of geospatial productivity and collaboration software said the enterprise license extension has a software value of roughly US$900,000.
IQGeo's mobile software will be deployed by the customer on its field crews' phones and tablets to allow them to capture and optimise construction and planning processes.
"With thousands of employees and contractors across their organisation already using the IQGeo software every day, the new contract demonstrates how an end-to-end IQGeo solution can continue to scale up as customer requirements grow," IQGeo said.
IQGeo chief executive Richard Petti said, "All too often validating construction activities in the field is a very problematic paper-based process involving maps and notebooks from field engineers and the IQGeo software is a key part of their transition to a fully digital solution. The benefits of our mobile field software in this new project will be measured in improved operational efficiency and accuracy, which will continue to reinforce our already strong working partnership."
