Marks Electrical Group PLC (AIM:MRK) today unveiled the results of what it said was a record quarter, after floating on London’s AIM market in November.
The online electrical retailer reported revenue of £22.3mln in the three months ended 31 December, up 27.4% compared with the same quarter in the previous year.
With three quarters of its financial year gone, this means revenue has grown 55% to £59.8mln so far and ensured Marks is on track to meet its 2022 revenue and adjusted EBITDA targets, it said.
“I am particularly proud of our further improvement on Trustpilot from 4.7 to 4.8, recognising the market-leading customer service that we provide,” said chief executive Mark Smithson.
The company attributed its record quarter to a strong performance during Black Friday and Christmas, while also increasing its share growth in the major domestic appliances segment and its television segment grew sales by 103%.
“Our momentum has continued into January and we look forward to maintaining our performance management discipline on revenue, profit, and cash in the final months of the year," Smithson said.
