PCF Group appoints two new board members

Tim Franklin will step down as director and chairperson by the end of the month

PCF Group PLC (AIM:PCF) announced today that it has appointed a new chair and a senior independent director as part of its board succession plans.

The parent company of specialist bank PCF Bank has appointed Simon Moore and Mark Sismey-Durrant as non-executive directors to the board taking effect from 9 January.

Subject to regulatory approvals, Moore will take up the role of the chair of the board as well as board nominations committee.

Moore has extensive regulatory and financial services experience, having held previous roles in Barclays Bank and Chase Manhattan Bank. He is currently the chair of Cambridge & Counties Bank and RCI Bank UK.

Sismey-Durrant, who has over 40 years' experience in banking, with a focus on specialist challenger banking, will take up the role of senior independent director.

He has held chief executive officer positions at Sun Bank, Heritable Bank PLC and, most recently, Hampshire Trust Bank, and is currently chair of fintech Cashplus Bank.

Garry Stran, interim chief executive, said the newcomers "will bring a new perspective and fresh ideas as we complete the resolution of historical issues and develop the future strategy for the group”.
