BiVictriX Therapeutics PLC (AIM:BVX, OTC:BVTXF) said it appointed Glyn Baker as chief financial officer, in a non-board role.
Baker joins the biotechnology company with around 20 years of experience in the industry, holding consultancy positions in finance and IT before moving onto various management roles.
His most recent role was with a Cambridge based start-up focused on neurodegenerative disease.
Prior to that, Baker was the finance director of Inflazome, a drug discovery company, leading a series B funding round to raise €40mln, as well as arranging a US$20mln venture debt facility.
Laura Brogden, BiVictriX’s current financial controller, will remain with the company for a period of three months to ensure an orderly handover of responsibilities to Baker.
“Glyn has amassed significant expertise in finance and M&A over the last 20 years with some impressive accomplishments,” said Tiffany Thorn, the chief executive. “This knowledge, coupled with his contacts, will be invaluable as we look to grow our business and progress the development of our Bi-Cygni therapeutics."
Baker added, “I look forward to supporting Tiffany and the broader team as the company progresses the development of its key work programmes."
