Predictive Discovery Ltd (ASX:PDI)’s management changes have come into effect, with new managing director Andrew Pardey taking the reins on January 1, 2022.
Pardey will take charge, with the company’s long-serving MD Paul Roberts to take on technical director duties and drive PDI’s exploration projects, while identifying new greenfield opportunities.
While Pardey’s experience as a geologist will no doubt come into play, his 30 years’ experience covering exploration, project development, construction and operation will be invaluable to PDI as it continues to unearth new gold discoveries at its Bankan Gold Project in Cote d’Ivoire.
Andrew Pardey will take over as MD at PDI and lead the company into its next phase.
Pardey no stranger to success
As the CEO of US$1.5 billion LSE/TSX-listed Centamin PLC (TSX:CEE, LSE:CEY, OTC:CELTF) which owns the Sukari Gold Mine in Egypt, Pardey was a driving force in bringing Sukari into production.
Pardey took over at Centamin just as the company began transitioning the operation from construction into production.
PDI’s new MD also held senior management roles at the Anglogold-Ashanti Siguiri Mine and Nordgold Lefa Mine both of which are within Guinea’s Siguiri Basin that hosts PDI’s Bankan Project.
Pardey will be well supported by Roberts who has had outstanding success at discovering gold deposits, culminating with the Bankan discovery.
Looking forward
The recent management changes reflect PDI’s move into the next phase of its life, with the company looking to expand the Bankan Project, while also assessing development opportunities for a large, long-life gold mine in Guinea.
