Bellevue Gold on hunt for new chief financial officer as Michael Naylor transitions to non-executive director

Bellevue Gold Ltd (ASX:BGL) has initiated an executive search for a new chief financial officer (CFO) after Michael Naylor, also an executive director for BGL, opted to transition into a non-executive role.

Naylor will remain in his current roles until a new CFO is found and the transition process is completed, at which point he will take up his non-executive director position.

Bellevue non-executive chair Kevin Tomlinson said with the company’s Bellevue Gold Project now fully funded, Naylor had decided it was a logical time to step back and begin the transition process.

“Mike has done an outstanding job, culminating in completion of the highly successful funding process for our Bellevue project,” Tomlinson said.

“I am delighted that we will continue to benefit from his skills, experience and in-depth knowledge of our project as he moves into a non-executive director role.

“On behalf of the board and our shareholders, I would like to thank Mike for the key role he played in Bellevue’s rapid growth from a small explorer to an emerging WA gold producer.”

The Bellevue Gold Project

Bellevue Gold is advancing the historical Bellevue Gold Mine in Western Australia, a site that was once one of Australia’s highest-grade gold mines, producing 800,000 ounces at 15 g/t gold from 1986 to 1997.

The company has a global JORC mineral resource of 3.0 million ounces at 9.9 g/t gold, including a probable ore reserve of 5.3 million tonnes at 6.1 g/t gold for 1.0 million ounces, making it one of the highest-grade gold development projects in the world.

Bellevue is now advancing its dual-track strategy for growth via ongoing exploration and development of the Bellevue Gold Project.

The company is fully funded to production with a $200 million underwritten and credit-approved loan secured to fund development.
