Boosh sees sales rev up with 75 new accounts in Canada while onboarding 25 new accounts every month

"We've increased our new store count over the past 90 days from approximately 15 new stores per month to 25 per month, and we're projecting 50 new stores per month by mid-year," said Boosh founder and president Connie Marples

Boosh Plant-Based Brands Inc (CSE:VEGI, OTC:VGGIF) has highlighted a positive sales performance and said it added 75 new accounts in Canada, averaging 25 new stores every month over the past 90 days.

The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company which through its subsidiary, Boosh Food, offers high quality, non-GMO, gluten-free, plant-based nutritional comfort foods, said it added two regional accounts in the shape of Natures Emporium in Ontario and Community Natural in Alberta.

In terms of larger accounts, it added Thrifty Foods, thanks to which Boosh is now in the planogram for 28 stores in western Canada, a part of the Sobeys family of stores.

It also added Metro Ontario and secured a retail price reduction on its bowls from $8.99 to $6.99. “It's anticipated this will accelerate sales and expand our consumer base,” said the company.

Boosh noted that monthly sales are up 442% compared to the similar periods in 2020. “Year-to-date sales are up 269% compared to the similar period in 2020,” added the company.

In October, the company said it had begun its US expansion with the first shipment of 16,000 units to its US distribution warehouse. The shipment included an equal portion of the company's six frozen entrees - Shepard's Pie with Beyond Meat, Rustic Pot Pie, Mexican Fiesta Bowl, Coconut Curry Cali, Mac & Cheeze & Peas and Veggie Bolognese with Beyond Meat.

For the first quarter in 2022, Thrive, the US team broker is in advanced discussions with major US sales accounts, said the company. There are also Canada National Account sales meetings with Loblaws, Sobeys, Save On Foods, it added.

In addition, Boosh has booked a booth at Expo West for March, 2022, the largest natural food and beverage trade show in the world.

"We've increased our new store count over the past 90 days from approximately 15 new stores per month to 25 per month, and we're projecting 50 new stores per month by mid-year. Our newly hired North American sales manager, TJ, will be traveling extensively throughout January in the US and meeting with US grocery chain buyers," Boosh founder and president Connie Marples said in a statement. "One of the many assets TJ brings to Boosh is his deep relationships with senior Canadian and US grocery chain buyers."

Boosh's North American Sales Manager TJ Welch said the company’s “healthy heat and eat family comfort food” always got an “extremely favorable” reception whenever he presented it to major grocery store buyers.

“They applaud the fact that we've developed unique frozen, chilled and shelf-stable products and are relieved I'm not walking in with another meat patty substitute. They want to see unique, side of plate dishes which is Boosh's specialty,” said Welch. “Having been in the natural food industry for over 15 years, it's extremely rewarding to witness the validation of our products, and I only see this continue as we introduce new entrée's to the marketplace, and as we aggressively introduce Boosh to the US consumers," Welch added.
