Adult content site OnlyFans appoints its female marketing chief as new CEO

Founder Stokely will remain in an advisory role during the transitionary period

Content subscription service OnlyFans has announced Amrapali Gan, the company’s marketing chief, as its new boss.

Gan will replace the founder of the company and current CEO, Tim Stokely, who congratulated his successor in an Instagram post.

Stokely leaves his position after five years with the company to focus on his next challenge, although he plans to remain in an advisory role during the transitionary period.

“Ami has a deep passion for OnlyFans’ business and I’m passing the baton to a friend and colleague who has the vision and drive to help the organisation reach its tremendous potential,” Stokely said in a statement.

In a separate statement, Gan said: “I am proud to assume this role. I look forward to continuing to work closely with our creator community to help them maximize control over, and monetize, their content.”

Based in London, the company is most well-known for providing a platform to allow adult content creators to monetise their content.

It had announced in August it was to ban explicit content on its site, before an outcry led to the site reversing the decision a week later.
