Highgold Mining eyeing initial results from Munro-Croesus program by mid Q1-2022; strikes exploration agreement with Wahgoshig First Nation

This is the third such agreement that HighGold has signed with First Nations in the region, including with Matachewan and Mattagami First Nations

HighGold (TSX-V:HIGH, OTCQX:HGGOF) Mining Inc has said it expects to receive initial results from the November-December drill program at its Munro-Croesus gold property in Timmins, Ontario by the middle of the first quarter, 2022 as it revealed the first phase program has been completed.

The company also said it had struck an exploration agreement (EA) with Wahgoshig First Nation on the project. This is the third such agreement that HighGold has signed with First Nations in the region, including with Matachewan and Mattagami First Nations.

"The EA reflects HighGold’s commitment to respectful engagement and responsible stewardship, with a mission to benefiting the regions in which we operate,” said HighGold (TSX-V:HIGH, OTCQX:HGGOF) CEO Darwin Green in a statement.

HighGold owns three properties in Timmins, which include Munro-Croesus, Golden Mile and Golden Perimeter.

Collectively, they amount to around 250 square kilometers (sq km), representing one of the larger land positions held by a junior gold miner within the Timmins gold camp.

The first phase minimum 3,000 meters (m) at Munro-Croesus is now complete, the firm said, with "excellent drill productivity" achieved, with 4,321m sunk in 24-holes in less than six weeks.

"The expanded program allowed for additional high priority targets to be tested," added HighGold.

Planning is currently underway for a larger second phase drill program that will begin late January, 2022, it added.
