Great Southern Copper PLC (LSE:GSCU) this morning began trading in London at a slight premium.
The company’s shares have been added with a standard listing on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market, following a £3.5mln share placing priced a 5p per share – to value the company at £10.6mln.
"We are delighted to announce our successful fundraise and listing on the London Stock Exchange,” said chief executive Sam Garrett.
“With copper set to play a vital role as economies around the world transition from fossil fuels to sustainable energy, we look forward to advancing our two exciting copper-gold exploration projects in Chile, the largest copper producing country in the world.”
Garrett added: “The London listing and support we received from investors is a great endorsement of the potential of our projects, the company's strategy and management team.
“I would like to welcome our new investors as we embark on this exciting stage of our journey, and we look forward to updating them and the wider market as we progress with our exploration campaigns in Chile."
In early deals, the share was priced at 5.25p albeit initial volumes in London have been light.
Great Southern Copper is exploring Chile’s under-explored coastal copper belt, where it presently has two strategic projects prospective for porphyry Cu-Au deposits.
