Aurumin returns further high-grade gold hits of up to 90.7 g/t in Mt Dimer drilling

"We will continue to advance our Southern Cross assets (Mt Dimer and Mt Palmer) in parallel with Sandstone Project acquisition (subject to completion)," says MD.

Aurumin Ltd (ASX:AUN) has intersected more high-grade gold at its wholly-owned Mt Dimer Project in Western Australia, with explorational drilling returning up to 1-metre at 90.7 g/t.

Mt Dimer is a historical high-grade production centre, having previously produced more than 125,000 ounces of gold, including open pit and underground production of 600,000 tonnes at 6.4 g/t gold.

Reverse circulation (RC) drilling was undertaken over four deposits in Mt Dimer, targeting largely unmined and under-explored areas of the historical pits and deposits.

Lightning deposit returned 8 metres at 15.00 g/t gold from 71 metres including 1-metre at 90.70 g/t from 72 metres.

This deposit is a high-grade unmined area at Mt Dimer, with mineralisation consisting of several narrow high-grade quartz-bearing ore shoots plunging steeply to the north.

Four holes were drilled at the northern extensions of the deposit to follow up intercepts received in July of 4 metres at 48.69 g/t gold, including 1-metre at 153.50 g/t.

The Frodo and LO3 deposits were previously mined but open at depth, while the T12 target was identified with sub-audio magnetics surveying. Intercepts at these sites included:

Frodo - 2 metres at 28.94 g/t gold from 106 metres including 1-metre at 50.10 g/t from 106 metres.

LO3 - 4.0 metres at 2.58 g/t from 52 metres including 1-metre at 8.98 g/t from 52 metres.

T12 - 7.0 metres at 2.50 g/t from 51 metres including 1-metre at 7.51 g/t from 55 metres.

Continued focus on Southern Cross

Aurumin managing director Brad Valiukas said: "We have received more high-grade intercepts at the historically high-grade Mt Dimer production centre.

“We will continue to advance our Southern Cross assets (Mt Dimer and Mt Palmer) in parallel with Sandstone Project acquisition (subject to completion).”

The Mt Palmer asset is another historical open pit and underground mine which produced about 158,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 15.9 g/t.

The company also holds the Johnson Range Project, which has a mineral resource of 64,700 ounces at a grade of 2.51 g/t gold, located midway between Southern Cross and Sandstone.

Aurumin is advancing the acquisition of the Sandstone Gold Project, which contains indicated and inferred mineral resources of 22 million tonnes at 1.1 g/t gold for 748,300 ounces.
