Altiplano Metals CEO Alastair McIntyre joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share and update on the construction phase at the El Peñón processing facility in Chile. McIntyre telling Proactive The Chilean mining authority has approved the company’s plan to incorporate an iron separator that is designed to recover high-value iron oxide and a high-efficiency water recovery circuit that is designed to produce dry tailings. Altiplano says this provides the opportunity for Altiplano to capture high-value iron which can be sold to generate a secondary income and reduce the overall tailings output by 50%.
