LBG Media PLC, the owner of youth content forum Ladbible, made a strong start to trading on AIM today.
Priced at 175p initially, shares were marked at 195p around midday - giving it a market value of £400mln.
LBG co-founders Solly Solomou and Arian Kalantari were among existing shareholders who sold £81mln of shares in the listing, while the company raised £30mln for itself.
The Manchester-based company, which boasted 28bn content views in 2020, said it remains focused on serving its youthful viewers.
"We remain committed to creating exciting, engaging, and socially responsible content that gives the youth generation a voice and appropriately represents their interests,” it said in a statement today.
LBG Media, founded in 2012, produces in-house content alongside third-party input and claims to reach two-thirds of 18 to 34 year-olds in the UK via its core 10 brands.
Value-accretive acquisitions have also fuelled its growth including UNILAD in 2018 – one of LBG’s biggest competitors at the time.
Revenue surged 133% to £23mln in the six months ending 30 June, while underlying profits rose 31% to £7.2mln.
