American Manganese CEO Larry Reaugh joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share some exciting news that the company and their independent R&D contractor Kemetco Research are announcing their 6,700 square foot demonstration plant facility is ready and expecting to take delivery for their RecycLiCo project. Reaugh telling Proactive the plant will start up in February of 2022.
Reaugh says this will make American Manganese's the first hydrometallurgical demonstration facility in North America for lithium-ion battery recycling and upcycling. The company has confirmed that its patented process can recycle over 99% of the lithium, nickel, cobalt, and manganese in lithium-ion battery waste and upcycle them into high-value cathode precursors and lithium compounds.
