Kodiak Copper reveals new drill results from Gate Zone on its flagship MPD copper-gold project in British Columbia

Kodiak said that systematic drilling at the Gate Zone during 2021 continues to intersect porphyry-related mineralization and host lithology along 950m of strike

Kodiak Copper Corp. (TSX-V:KDK) has reported new drill results from its MPD copper-gold project in British Columbia revealing significant grades at the Gate Zone.

Highlights from the three holes reported include 126 meters (m) of 0.72% copper, 0.21 grams per ton (g/t) gold and 2.95 g/t silver, within a broader interval of 537m at 0.37% copper, 0.11 g/t gold and 1.40 g/t silver.

In a statement, Vancouver-based Kodiak said that systematic drilling at the Gate Zone during 2021 continues to intersect porphyry-related mineralization and host lithology along 950m of strike, with the depth and width typical of other multi-center copper porphyry deposits in British Columbia.

Other results include 111m at 0.53% copper, 0.34 g/t gold and 1.84 g/t silver in one hole, and 81m of 0.31% copper, 0.13 g/t gold and 1.41 g/t silver in another.

"We are very pleased with the impressive drill results that keep coming from the Gate Zone, and excited to have our first holes into the Dillard target,” Kodiak CEO Claudia Tornquist said.

“The progress the company made this year, despite challenging weather and operational conditions, sets the stage for continued drilling in multiple areas and another large program in 2022. Kodiak is well funded and we will continue with our district scale exploration approach at MPD to reveal the property's true potential for multi-centred porphyry systems."

Kodiak said it is planning a large drill program of approximately 25,000 additional meters in 2022 to further evaluate Gate and advance other high-priority targets in the Dillard, Man and Axe areas.

Kodiak’s MPD copper-gold porphyry project is located in the prolific Quesnel Trough in south-central British Columbia. The company made a discovery of high-grade mineralization within a wide mineralized envelope in 2020.
