Nova Minerals Ltd (ASX:NVA, OTCQB:NVAAF) majority-owned Snow Lake Resources has been cleared to start its winter drilling campaign at the Thompson Brothers Lithium Project in Manitoba, Canada.
Snow Lake Lithium has contracted Big Ice Services, a Canadian company from Creighton Saskatchewan, to provide the necessary winter drill access needed to mobilise the diamond drill.
Ice trails
Snow Lake will be constructing 12 kilometres of ice trails to provide winter access to the site, collaborating with Kinross Gold on costs related to the shared portion of the winter access trails.
The company is also partnering with Saskatchewan company QB Drilling to provide drilling crews and rigs to allow Snow Lake to drill between 5,000-15,000 metres of core, weather permitting.
Expanding the deposit
Drilling will initially take place on the current TBL Resource block to further expand the deposit to depth and along strike.
The company will conduct further drilling at other pegmatite targets identified by historical drilling and a recent successful prospecting expedition.
Drill crews will be working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to achieve maximum metres over the course of the winter campaign.
