Greatland Gold plans to release new sustainability report meanwhile Havieron continues to impress

“We're looking at releasing a sustainability report, which I think, is increasingly important in the market,” said the company's CEO

Greatland Gold PLC (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF) chief executive Shaun Day told Proactive that sustainability is increasingly important in the market, as he noted that a new report on the Havieron project is on its way.

At Havieron, where drilling operations are ongoing, there is a focus on improving its environmental and social governance (ESG) credentials, echoing an industry-wide push.

“We're looking at releasing a sustainability report, which I think, is increasingly important in the market,” Day said in an interview.

Day, in an interview in the studio with Proactive’s Andrew Scott, meanwhile, highlighted that in the field all 22 recent drill intercepts all hit mineralisation, and the programme, which comprises a combination of growth and infill drilling, is said to be progressing well.

The positive updates on Havieron combined with Greatland’s recent capital raise fills Day with confidence that the company has the ability to continue investing in drilling, as well as in other areas.

“The continuity of the south-east crescent [is] going to give us the opportunity to improve the resource, upgrade information… and then that brings more material into the mine plan,” he added.

Prior to its annual general meeting that will be held on Tuesday, Day insisted “there's a lot of activity and a lot of opportunity to continue to grow” heading into 2022 for Greatland.
