C29 Metals has diamond drill spinning at Reedy Creek Project

The company has planned up to nine diamond holes for around 1,300 metres to confirm historical high-grade zones of copper, lead, zinc, manganese, silver and gold.

C29 Metals Ltd (ASX:C29) has the diamond drill bit spinning at the Reedy Creek Mine prospect within the Reedy Creek Project in Central West NSW targeting base and precious metals, including copper and gold.

There are nine diamond core holes planned for approximately 1,300 metres at the project in the Eastern Lachlan Fold Belt (ELFB), about 20 kilometres west of the township of Cudal.

The aim of the program is to confirm historical high-grade zones of copper, lead, zinc, manganese, silver and gold and to test the extensions of mineralisation between the Reedy Creek Mine and Endeavour 1 prospects.

Historical drill results

Historical intercepts from Reedy Creek include:

  • 12.4 metres at 1.13% copper from 33.2 metres within 48.1 metres at 0.66% from 30.3 metres;
  • 17 metres at 1.04% copper, including 8 metres at 1.31% from 9 metres;
  • 27 metres at 1.3% zinc from 18 metres, including 7 metres at 4.2% zinc, 1.0% lead and 37ppm silver;
  • 11 metres at 1.91 g/t gold from 25 metres to the end of hole, including 6 metres at 3.1 g/t; and
  • 7 metres at 14.4% manganese from 14 metres to the end of hole within 17 metres at 9.2% from 4 metres.

Location of the Reedy Creek Mine prospects, Endeavour 1 prospect and the Mossvale Breccia prospect.

In prolific region

Reedy Creek Project is within a prolific gold and copper-gold producing region and is considered prospective for hydrothermal polymetallic (gold-copper-lead-zinc-silver) deposits.

The base-metal mineralisation is interpreted as skarn style, while the gold is related to a latter cross-cutting epithermal vein event.

Mineralisation is located within a northeast-trending structural corridor ranging between 150 & 200 metres wide and extending over a minimum of 1,000 metres between the Reedy Creek Mine and Endeavour 1 prospect.
