Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has received wet chemistry results for 88 rock chip samples gathered during an exploration program at Fairway Corridor target of the Wyemandoo Project that exceed expectations, showing very high rubidium grades and anomalous lithium grades.
Standout samples include WYRK0025 at 1.49% rubidium and WYRK0056 at 1.82% rubidium, with a mean average grade for all samples of 0.38% rubidium.
Lithium grades averaged 1,187 parts per million (ppm), with a peak value of 6,600ppm in sample WYRK00044.
Rockchip sampling programs are ongoing but the relatively fast turnaround speed of wet chemistry assay results has augmented preliminary portable x-ray fluorescence (pXRF) readings, which appear to have a strong correlation between results.
WYRK0025 read 1.31% rubidium by pXRF, and WYKR0056 read 1.71% rubidium by pXRF. This provides a high confidence level for targeting the upcoming reverse circulation (RC) drill program.
Investors have welcomed the news of further mineralisation, raising the share price as much as 8.15% intraday to $0.465.
Forward plan
Preparations are underway for an RC drill program targeting the highest-grade areas from the wet chemistry results and pXRF readings.
This RC drilling will also target specific areas of interest, where higher concentrations of lepidolite and rubidian muscovite were observed in outcrop.
The RC rig slated to undertake the drilling program at Niobe has been held up in servicing and drilling will now begin following the Christmas/New Year period with a January 5, 2022 start date.
About Aldoro Resources
Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) is an ASX-listed mineral exploration and development company with a collection of nickel/copper/platinum group metals (PGM) focused exploration projects and advanced rubidium exploration projects all in Western Australia.
The company’s flagship nickel/copper/PGM project is the Narndee Project - initial drilling of the first of more than a dozen targets has intersected nickel sulphides, which is an encouraging start to the drilling campaign.
Aldoro is also exploring the Niobe rubidium/lithium/tantalum project and is encouraged by the very high grades of rubidium and the at-surface deposit which extends over multiple kilometres.
Aldoro’s other projects include the Cathedrals Belt Nickel Project (nickel-copper-PGM), with a significant tenement holding surrounding St George Mining’s Mt Alexander Project, the Leinster Nickel Project and Windimurra Igneous Complex (nickel-copper-PGM, lithium).
