Brookside Energy mobilises drill rig for high-impact Rangers 36-25 SXH 1 Well

Rangers will be the company’s second well in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) in the world-class Anadarko Basin of Oklahoma and is expected to spud next week.

Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) has made further progress in preparations for drilling the high-impact Rangers 36-25 SXH 1 Well in Oklahoma with the drill rig mobilised to the site.

Molbilisation of the large Kenai Rig 18 to the Rangers Drilling Spacing Unit (DSU) began on schedule with around 30 truckloads of rig equipment, pipe and control equipment arriving on location on December 6.

Rangers will be the second well in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) in the world-class Anadarko Basin of Oklahoma following the Jewell well which has been returning highly encouraging results.

Expected to spud next week

During the remainder of this week Brookside will continue to receive rig equipment, set in the rig and commence pre-spud testing and commissioning operations.

The Rangers Well is expected to spud in the week commencing December 13.

SWISH development plan

Brookside Energy is developing the SWISH AOI with a five-year, 20-plus well development plan across the Jewell, Rangers and Flames operated development areas to develop a conservatively estimated 11,606,000 net barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) prospective resource.

The company has enjoyed success with its first SWISH AOI well, Jewell, exceeding estimates significantly and reaching a peak rate (IP24) of around 1,800 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
