VR Resources Ltd (TSX-V:VRR, OTCQB:VRRCF) has reported two new “broad” intersections of rare metal mineralization from the recently-completed drill campaign at its Hecla-Kilmer (H-K) project in Ontario, which extends the system to more than 1,000 metres (m) in length.
The company said the new 152m and 255m long intersections of critical metals and rare earth elements (REE) included a 120m intersection of 0.52% total rare earth oxides (TREO) starting at 237m.
“Well, the stage is certainly now set for the most compelling drill program yet at H-K, planned for this upcoming winter,” VR Resources CEO Michael Gunning said in a statement.

“The discovery of these broad intersections of critical metals with locally elevated gold provide a clear indication for the potential of the large and ultra-high temperature hydrothermal breccia system discovered last year when our drilling at H-K began,” Gunning added.
VR Resources noted the drilling encountered gold mineralization at greater levels than expected in six of nine holes.
The company added that it has completed a drone magnetic survey on the project in preparation for follow up drilling this winter, which will test the structures that control the broad zones of REE plus niobium mineralization with gold in the northern part of the complex for higher grades.
The follow-up program will also complete additional reconnaissance drilling on the larger magnetic anomaly located two to three kilometres to the southeast, on the southern margin of the complex, to evaluate all four styles of mineralization discovered to date.
VR Resources is a junior explorer advancing assets in Nevada and Ontario, with a focus of uncovering, using new techniques, large copper-gold mineral systems.
