Metal Tiger says Kalahari Metals extends drilling at Endurance prospect

Metal Tiger holds a 49% stake in KML, with Cobre Ltd holding the majority 51% of the shareholding

Natural resources investor Metal Tiger PLC (AIM:MTR, OTC:MRTTF, ASX:MTR) said Kalahari Metals Ltd (KML) has extended drilling at Kitlanya East Project’s Endurance Prospect following a successful drilling programme.

So far, eight diamond holes totalling 2,336 metres (m) have been drilled, with provisional results showing alteration, quartz-carbonate veining and sulphide minerals typically associated with copper-silver (Cu-Ag) deposits in the Kalahari Copper Belt, Metal Tiger said in a statement.

It added that several intersections of minor copper-mineralisation have been recorded in visual logs associated with zones of more intense alteration.

“Based on the success of this drilling and the extra exploration vectoring data it has provided, the planned eight hole programme has been extended by a further two holes, and we look forward to receiving the sample laboratory assay results and providing further updates in due course,” said Michael McNeilly, chief executive officer of Metal Tiger.

The two additional 200m holes will test the down-dip and lateral extension of promising alteration and mineralisation intersected in hole KIT-E-D023. These holes will target potential higher-grade copper mineralisation.
