Visa (NYSE:V) announced the launch of the Visa (NYSE:V) Global Crypto Advisory Practice, an in-house consultancy offering within Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA), designed to help its clients and partners better understand cryptocurrencies.
The payments processor claims its consultant and product experts can guide and assist clients with any crypto and blockchain issue, ranging from central banks looking to explore cryptocurrencies to retailers seeking to gain more information on non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Visa says it is already working and engaging with customers on the issue, with UMB Financial Corporation already leaning on the consultancy for advice.
Carl Rutstein, the global head of VCA said that Visa has “seen a material shift in our clients’ mindset in the last year, from a desire to explore and experiment with crypto, to actually building a strategy and roadmap.”
Visa’s research found that crypto is becoming increasingly popular among the general population, with nearly a fifth of the 6,000 people surveyed saying they would likely switch banks to one that offered crypto-related services.
It also discovered that crypto-related rewards were attractive to those surveyed, with 81% interested in crypto-linked cards that allow you to spend at retailers.
