Plurilock says Aurora Systems receives US$285,000 purchase order from US Federal Bureau of Investigation

Including the latest order, all contracts and orders announced by Plurilock and its subsidiaries since April 2021 represent a combined total of roughly US$13.34 million in sales, the company said

Plurilock Security Inc. (TSX-V:PLUR) said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Aurora Systems Consulting Inc has received a US$285,000 order from the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as part of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) solution for enterprise-wide procurement (SEWP) program, a US government-wide acquisition contract vehicle (GWAC).

According to the purchase order, Aurora will provide the FBI, a US national security and law enforcement agency with more than 30,000 agents, analysts, and other employees, with hardware, software licenses, and maintenance support. The agency is tasked with protecting the US from terrorism and other criminal threats.

Including the latest order, all contracts and orders announced by Plurilock and its subsidiaries since April 2021 represent a combined total of roughly US$13.34 million in sales, the company added.

Plurilock noted that global cybercrime costs are estimated to reach $10.5 trillion annually by 2025.

“It is more critical than ever that organizations, particularly those related to government services, work with skilled cybersecurity and IT support vendors on strengthening their security posture,” the company said in a statement.

The SEWP V program, launched by NASA in 2015, is the leading information technology (IT) contract vehicle, with government agencies spending $7.9 billion in fiscal 2020. Estimates anticipate that agencies will utilize SEWP V for $8.8 billion in contracted spending in fiscal 2021. The contract vehicle provides Plurilock with the opportunity to access downstream customers in the government sector.
