Redx Pharma PLC (AIM:REDX) is teaming up with a company that will help it select the ‘right’ patients for its US cancer clinical trial.
It will work with Caris Life Sciences to assess an individual’s patient's molecular tumour profile against the trial's eligibility requirements.
RedX’s RXC004 asset is a drug called a porcupine inhibitor that is being developed to target Wnt-ligand dependent microsatellite stable metastatic colorectal cancer.
RedX chief executive, Lisa Anson, said: Together we aim to greatly enhance the speed of our patient accrual for the US into PORCUPINE, our RXC004 phase II trial in patients with Wnt-ligand driven metastatic colorectal cancer who currently have few treatment options.
“The Caris approach will complement our screening capabilities, and potentially identify new populations where RXC004 may have utility."
Caris will use its Whole Transcriptome Sequencing and Whole Exome Sequencing platform assay, real-world data and its Right-In-Time clinical trial solutions to enhance the speed of recruitment, Redx said.
