Twenty Seven Co confirms prospectivity of Edale Shear zone at Rover Gold Project with surface soil sampling

Twenty Seven Co Ltd (ASX:TSC) has confirmed the prospectivity of Edale Shear within the Rover Gold Project in Western Australia through a low-cost, first-pass soil sampling program designed to assess the basic geochemical nature of the shear zone.

Soil sampling comprising 243 samples returned elevated gold-in-soil results, with peak samples constituting up to 420 parts per billion (ppb) gold and confirming good correlation between geochemical anomalies and interpreted regional structural features.

Results from this program confirm and extend the known gold-in-soil anomalies already identified at Middle Well, Four Corners and Blue Hills.

Some isolated and low tenor gold anomalies are also of interest due to the geological setting along the Edale Shear, given that further south towards Harmonic (NASDAQ:HLIT) and Creasy 1 prospects low tenor gold surface anomalisms identified primary mineralisation at depth.

TSC believes it is important to note that some major discoveries have been made in the Kalgoorlie district beneath weak soil anomalies such as Kanowna Belle (4 million ounces of gold – 350 metres at over 60 ppb gold-in-soil).

“Several very promising targets”

“The soil program has fulfilled its objective of providing a low cost, first-pass geochemical assessment of the extensive strike length of the Edale Shear,” Twenty Seven Co CEO Simon Phillips said.

“To obtain values up to 420 ppb gold from an area that has seen limited geological sampling is highly encouraging. Several very promising targets justify follow-up with infill soils, to better define and characterise potential drill targets.

“We are also looking forward to commencing our RC drilling program at Rover this week and will provide updates on progress in due course.”

TSC has identified several multi-point anomalies from its broad-spaced, first-pass geochemical survey. In particular, nine samples have returned over 10 ppb gold which the company believes justifies further follow-up work.

A 2,000-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign is scheduled to begin on site this month, focusing on the highly prospective Blue Hills, Four Corners, Harmonic and Creasy 1 prospects.

Drilling will target areas below and along strike of Harmonic and Creasy 1 while also testing the recently identified gold-in-soil anomaly where a 1.15 g/t gold (1,150 ppb) sample was returned.

About Twenty Seven Co

Twenty Seven Co is an ASX-listed explorer. TSC’s Australian assets comprise two tenure groupings detailed briefly:

WA Archaean Gold assets:

  • Mt Dimer: is made up of mining lease M77/515 and exploration licence E77/2383. The project is highly prospective for Archean gold.
  • Yarbu: This project is on the Marda Greenstone belt about 80 kilometres to the northwest of the Mt Dimer Project. Yarbu consists of three exploration licences that cover approximately 223 square kilometres and are highly prospective for Archean gold deposits.
  • Rover: TSC’s 100%-owned Rover Project is near Sandstone in a base metals and gold mineral-rich area associated with Archean greenstone belts. The Rover Project is a large 460 square kilometre tenure package covering two linear Archean greenstones, with a combined length of around 160 kilometres. Historically the area is underexplored and is currently undergoing a resurgence in exploration.

NSW IOCG (iron oxide-copper-gold) and tin assets:

  • Midas Project: is prospective for iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) and is 40 kilometres northeast of Broken Hill.
  • Perseus Project: is prospective for IOCG and historically has been underexplored and is about 50 kilometres west of Broken Hill.
  • Trident Project: is prospective for IOCG and tin and is about 35 kilometres northeast of Broken Hill.
