Carnavale Resources completes Heli VTEM Max survey at Barracuda PGE-Nickel-Copper Project

“The Windimurra Igneous Complex is a very large system that is anomalous in PGE, nickel and chrome within Carnavale’s Barracuda project,” says CEO.

Carnavale Resources Ltd (ASX:CAV) has completed a detailed helicopter-borne geophysical survey at Barracuda Platinum-Palladium-Nickel-Copper Project, 60 kilometres east of the gold mining town of Mt Magnet in the Murchison district of Western Australia.

The company contracted UTS Geophysics Pty Ltd to fly the Versatile Time Domain Electro-Magnetic (VTEM Max) and aeromagnetic survey with the aim of identifying concealed conductors that could host PGE-nickel-copper mineralisation.

Results from the survey are expected in mid-December 2021.

“Anomalous in PGE, nickel and chrome”

Carnavale CEO Humphrey Hale said: “The helicopter VTEM Max survey has been completed and we look forward to reviewing the results.

“The Windimurra Igneous Complex is a very large system that is anomalous in PGE, nickel and chrome within Carnavale’s Barracuda project.

“We are exploring for concealed PGE-nickel-copper sulphide at depth.”

Survey program

Carnavale’s detailed helicopter-borne geophysical survey included the VTEM Max and aeromagnetic surveys.

The survey was flown at 200-metre line spacing with the electromagnetic sensor at 35 metres for 266-line kilometres.

Notably, the VTEM Max survey provides the highest signal/noise ratio and spatial resolution of conductors.
