Great Atlantic Resources Corp (TSX-V:GR) has revealed promising analytical results from its Golden Promise project in Newfoundland showing that it has intersected high-grade quartz veins with visible gold.
Assay results from the company’s 2021 diamond drilling program included 75.5 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 0.35 meters and 20.1 g/t gold over 0.50 meters.
The results come from the Jaclyn Main Zone, where eight holes were drilled during the summer in a bid to further define the zone ahead of an updated resource estimate.

A 2018 resource estimate on Jaclyn outlines 357,500 tons at 10.4 g/t gold for 119,900 ounces of gold. Great Atlantic confirmed high-grade gold at the zone during initial drilling in 2019, including near-surface intercepts of 113.07 g/t gold over 0.55 meters, 61.35 g/t gold over 2.04 meters and 15.8 g/t gold over 2.70 meters.
The first five holes sunk at Jaclyn in 2021, intersected visible gold in quartz veins in four of the holes.
Great Atlantic is planning additional drilling at Jaclyn in 2022.
In a statement, Great Atlantic told shareholders that its management team interpret that both of the quartz veins intersected are part of the Jaclyn vein system.
Golden Promise is located near recent significant gold discoveries by Marathon Gold at the Valentine project, Sokoman Minerals (TSX-V:SIC) Corp at the Moosehead project and New Found Gold Corp at the Queensway project.
Vancouver-based Great Atlantic is a project generator focused on Atlantic Canada.
