Coinsilium's portfolio company Indorse plans launch of play-to-earn game early next year

The group has acquired 315 BlockBot NFTs, roughly 10% of the total amount on the market

Coinsilium Group Limited, the blockchain and open finance venture operator, said the play-to-earn (P2E) game created by its portfolio company Indorse will launch in the first quarter of 2022.

Indorse created the game, which allows players to ‘earn’ by loaning and trading their BlockBots, or through in-game competitions.

“We are confident that the Indorse team has the right skills and the creativity to build a very successful play-to-earn gaming ecosystem of its own around the BlockBots original collection”, Eddy Travia, Coinsilium’s chief executive, said.

Currently, Coinsilium holds 315 BlockBot NFTs, representing roughly 10.5% of the entire circulation, but said it intends to increase its holding before the official launch.

Gibraltar-based Coinsilium also said Indorse will launch the PowerUps NFT collection on the Polygon network.

PowerUps are in-game items, such as weapons and wearables, that can equip BlockBots.

Indorse will launch a peer-to-peer marketplace this month, dedicated to PowerUps trading and powered by IND tokens

These tokens will be vital to the PowerUps collection and the P2e BlockBots game. The benefits for IND token holders include BlockBot NFT customisation, double the number of PowerUps during the token distribution phase and no fees charged from PowerUps trading on the P2P marketplace.

Travia added: “Play-to-earn games have become one of the most lucrative areas in the NFT space as demonstrated by the fast growth of leading play-to-earn blockchain games such as Axie Infinity which has grown to become the largest NFT gaming ecosystem, with more than 1.8 million daily active users logging into the platform in August 2021 and the game's total volume to date standing at over US$3.5bn.”
