“With seven of 17 holes reported to date, the Middle DC area has emerged as a zone of significant mineralization with excellent potential to expand,” Green added.
Highgold noted that, with about C$26 million in working capital, it is fully funded to explore the DC target area while at the same time continuing the systematic expansion and advancement of the main JT Deposit situated four kilometres to the southwest.
As well, the company has appointed Dr Peter Megaw, co-founder of MAG Silver and Minaurum Gold, to its technical advisory team.
Highgold also reported that an updated mineral resource estimate is planned for the JT Deposit in the first half of 2022, which will incorporate 30,000m of new drilling completed in 2020 and 2021 since the last estimate.
It added that metallurgical test work is underway on material collected from the JT Deposit with results expected in the first quarter of 2022.
And, the company said a minimum 3,000m Phase 1 drill program is currently underway at its Munro-Croesus property located in Ontario’s Timmins gold camp.
